John A. Baur, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, OMPT
Physical Therapist

Dr. Baur earned his Doctorate and Master's degrees in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Medicine, with a focus on neuromuscular injury of the spine and orthopedic sports injury. In addition, he completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology, with honors, from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Dr. Baur is a former adjunct facility member in orthopaedics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Medicine, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitative Science. He is currently a Clinical Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE) and Clinical Instructor (CI) for ten physical therapy programs across the United States. Dr. Baur is a member of both the Orthopaedic Section and Sports Sections of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and he has attended numerous continuing educational courses instructed by many internationally renowned medical specialists.

Dr. Baur is a certified Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapist (OMPT), certified nationally as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 1997, and he is a certified Diver Medical Technician through the International Board of Undersea Medicine.

Dr. Baur works at the Baltimore City and Howard County locations, where he specializes in outpatient orthopaedic and manual therapy spine care. For the last twelve years he has also overseen the physical therapy care for the 400+ varsity athletes at Loyola University, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Baur has an interest in treating afflictions of the spine and orthopedic.


David Bender, PT, DPT, OMPT
Physical Therapist

Mr. Bender received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Evidence in Motion (EIM), Master's in Physical Therapy degree from University of Maryland, Eastern Shore (UMES) and Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Towson University.

Mr. Bender in completed Johns Hopkins certification program in Nuclear Medicine Technology and he is certified as a Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapist (OMPT). Other certification include: ASTYM, and Active Release Technique (ART).

Mr. Bender is the program director for the PTF Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program and he is a clinical instructor for several physical therapy programs. He has been trained in Dry Needling techniques, and he has a special interest in treating running and sports related overuse injuries. Mr. Bender also does Tri-bike fitting and orthotic castings.

He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), APTA's Home Health and Private Practice Sections, and a institutional member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).

Ray Moore, III, PT, DPT, OMPT
Physical Therapist

Dr. Moore completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore (UMES), Department of Physical Therapy. He continues to participate in research involving light therapy and low back with UMES.

Dr. Moore completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP). While at UMCP, he was active in club sports and the Pre-Physical Therapy Association.

Dr. Moore is certified as an Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapist (OMPT) through the Maryland Manual Therapy Certification Program. He is currently involved as a laboratory teaching assistant and enjoys working with new students in the program.

Dr. Moore is a member American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) orthopaedic section. He lives in Federal Hill and enjoys participating in trivia and recreational sports leagues.

Heather Bennett, PT, DPT, OMPT
Physical Therapist

Dr. Bennett completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore (UMES). She was active in school and worked as a teaching assistant for Gross Anatomy and Neurology for 1st year PA and PT students. Dr. Bennett also served as a Graduate Assistant in her final year of PT school. She continues to work with students acting as a Clinical Instructor.

Dr. Bennett completed her undergraduate studies at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and she holds her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She played collegiate softball at the division 1 level for four years.

Dr. Bennett is certified as an Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapist (OMPT) through the Maryland Manual Therapy Certification Program. This Program is instructed by internationally renowned manual physical therapist Jim Meadows. She currently helps Jim Meadows as a laboratory teaching assistant in the manual therapy certification program.

Dr. Bennett remains active in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She lives in Federal Hill and enjoys participating in recreational sports leagues.

Gene Shirokobrod, PT, DPT, OMPT
Physical Therapist

Dr. Shirokobrod completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), School of Medicine. He remains involved at UMB as an appointed adjunct faculty member and he currently assists in teaching orthopedics and gross anatomy in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences.

Dr. Shirokobrod completed his undergraduate studies at McDaniel College, in Westminster Maryland, and he holds his Bachelors' degree in Exercise Science. He played collegiate baseball at McDaniel's College and worked as a student athletic trainer. While working as an athletic trainer Gene covered all sports including football.

Dr. Shirokobrod is certified as an Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapist (OMPT) through the Maryland Manual Therapy Certification Program. This Program is instructed by internationally renowned manual physical therapist Jim Meadows. Maureen Ambrose, PT, DPT

Dr. Ambrose completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has an interest in treating orthopedic conditions and sports injuries of athletes of all ages.

Dr. Ambrose completed her undergraduate studies at University of Maryland, College Park where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. While at Maryland, she played and captained the Women's Club Lacrosse team.

Dr. Ambrose is currently working towards an Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapist (OMPT) certification through the Maryland Manual Therapy Certification Program. This Program is instructed by internationally renowned manual physical therapist Jim Meadows.

Lauren Hoskins
Director of Clinical Services

Lauren is responsible for maintaining relations with our referring physicians and other healthcare providers at local hospitals. These ongoing communications between healthcare providers are critical to ensuring quality care and optimal outcomes. Lauren's duties also include recruiting experienced and skilled physical therapists, general staffing, and managing promotional efforts.

Lauren received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from Towson University where she played Varsity Lacrosse and Field Hockey.  She has a diverse work experience which includes employment as an Account Executive, Athletic Director, and Real Estate Sales Associate.

Beth Glessner
Office Manager

Beth handles the accounting, payroll, human resources, accounts payable, and therapist credentialing for PTF, to name just a few of her many responsibilities. She joined the company as a seasoned financial professional with over 8 years of experience managing the accounting and budgeting departments of both local and international companies.

Beth is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She and her husband have two children and she enjoys spending her free time with them.

Susan knows the importance of patient confidentiality and she is always ready to perform other duties when called upon.
